একজন শিল্পী, স্রষ্টার বিশেষ সৃষ্টি। শিল্পীর সাথে স্রষ্টার নিবিড় সম্পর্ক আছে। সভ্যতার পৃথিবী গড়তে আদি থেকেই শিল্পীর ভূমিকা চালকের আসনে ছিলো! আছে, থাকবেও। শিল্পীই সমাজ, দেশ-পৃথিবীর পরিধি ছাপিয়ে যাওয়ার অনন্য শক্তিতে অবিচল থাকে। উপমহাদেশের শিল্প-সংস্কৃতি চর্চায় বাঙ্গালী শিল্পীদের অসামান্য অবদান স্মরণীয়। স্বাধীনতার পরবর্তী সময়েও বাংলাদেশের শিল্পীদের শিল্পচর্চা, উপস্থাপন দেশ গঠনে অনন্য ভূমিকায় গৌরব বহন করে। নব্বই দশকের কিছু পরবর্তী সময়েও গর্ব করার মতো ছিলো বাংলাদেশের শিল্পীদের শৈল্পিক উপস্থাপন। এর পর..!!!

পৃথিবী জুড়ে ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তির পরিবর্তন এসেছে। শিল্পীদের মানসিক, বাণিজ্যিক, উপস্থাপনের কৌশলে নতুনত্ব এসেছে। যা পৃথিবীর মানুষ আগে ভাবেও নাই।
এই প্রযুক্তির পরিবর্তন, বাণিজ্যিক কৌশলে বাংলাদেশের শিল্পীরা এখনো আঁতুড়ঘরে। তবে, এই প্রযুক্তিতে বৈশ্বিকভাবে নিজেকে, দেশকে সহজে শৈল্পিকভাবে উপস্থাপন করা সহজ থেকে সহজতর। এই আজন্ম গোপনটাই শিল্পীসহ সংশ্লিষ্টরা জানেন। হয়তো মানেন না!
এই সহজের যুগেই শিল্পীরা যেনো ঠিক ধরতে পারছে না। আমি কে.? আমার কি করা উচিত.? সমাজ, দেশ গঠনে আমার ভুমিকা কি.? কেন এসব করছি.? এর শেষ কোথায়.? চেয়ারপতি আমি চিরতরে ঘুমালে চেয়ারের কি হবে.??

একজন পরিপূর্ণ শিল্পী, একজন আদর্শবান শিক্ষক। একটি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। স্রষ্টার বিশেষ প্রতিনিধি।
ডিজিটাল কিবোর্ড কিংবা মোবাইল বাটনের সখ্যতায় পরে ধ্যান-জ্ঞান, খাতা, কলম, বইয়ের সাথে শিল্পীদের দেখা কম হয়। এই কম দেখা হওয়ার ফলেই শিল্পীদের অশৈল্পিক আচরণ, নির্লজ্জতা, বেয়াদবী, কি করণীয় বুঝতে না পারা বেড়েছে। হেরে যাচ্ছে বাংলাদেশের শিল্পীদের ঐতিহ্যের উপস্থাপন। বিশ্ব এটাই বিশ্বাস করছে। এটাই নাকি বাংলাদেশ!!!

একজন বিদেশি পর্যটককে যদি হাতিরঝিল, টিএসসি, গুলিস্তান, এফডিসি দেখিয়েই বলি এটি বাংলাদেশ। সে এটাই বিশ্বাস করবে। উপস্থাপন ও চোখের দেখাই মানুষ বেশি বিশ্বাস করে। আর আমরা বাঙ্গালীরা গুজব বেশি বিশ্বাস করি। অথচ, আমার বাংলাদেশে অসংখ্য অসংখ্য প্রাকৃতিক নৈসর্গিক সৌন্দর্য, কৃত্রিম সৌন্দর্যেও পিছিয়ে নেই। নিজ ও দেশকে সঠিক উপস্থাপনে শিল্পীর ভূমিকা প্রধান ও অনন্য। এখন আমাদের শিল্পীরা হয়ে উঠেছে নেতা। নিজের মেধা-মনন চর্চায় না ছুটে চেয়ার বাঁচাতে বির্সজন দেয় জীবন যৌবন, এমনকি স্রষ্টার অসামান্য আর্শীবাদ। এখন শিল্পীরা এফডিসিকেই বাংলাদেশ বলে উপস্থাপন করছে। বিশ্বও হাসছে আর দেখছে, এটাই বুঝি বাংলাদেশ!!

শিল্পীর নিজস্ব প্রতিভা উপস্থাপনে কোনো সংগঠনের প্রয়োজন হয় না। পৃথিবীর কোথাও শৈল্পিক সেক্টরে এতো এতো সংগঠন নাই। একমাত্র বাংলাদেশেই নিজস্ব প্রতিভার বিকাশ ঘটাতে সংগঠন কিংবা দলের আর্শীবাদ প্রয়োজন হয়। প্রাপ্ত আইন প্রনয়ণের সংশোধন, প্রযুক্তির পরিবর্তন, শিল্পীদের নিরাপত্তা, রাষ্ট্রীয় সুযোগ সুবিধার কথা বলতে সংগঠন হওয়া দোষের কিছু নয়। মানুষ মূলত সময় আর সুযোগের অপেক্ষায় বাঁচে। একজন শিল্পী সবার আগে মানুষ। বাংলাদেশের শিল্প চর্চায় মানহীন, হাস্যরসে উপস্থাপিত হওয়ার হাত থেকে বাঁচার বৈধ যুদ্ধের সময় চলছে।
এই সময় সুযোগের যুদ্ধে শিল্পী জয়ী হলেই বাঁচবে পুরো বাংলার সংস্কৃতি।

যুদ্ধ জয়েই শিল্পীর দায়িত্ব শেষ নয়। শুরু হবে নিজকে শিল্পী হিসেবে উপস্থাপন করার অনন্য সুযোগ। তখন আমরা সাধারণেরাও ভাবতে পারবো শিল্পী মানেই স্বপ্নপুরুষ, ব্যক্তিত্ববান, মানবিক, অনুকরণীয়, বিশ্বাসী।
